Federico Cabello was born in Venezuela in 1962. He began his career as a graphic designer in 1982. It was not until 1995 that he started to participate in international level underwater photography competitions.
In 1997 Federico won first prize in the Cayman Brac Nikonos Shootout. From that moment on he found ways to combine his profession as a graphic designer with his passion for underwater photography. In 1999 he made the decision to dedicate himself entirely to the world of professional photography. A selection of his photographs is commercially available from Internet
In 2007 comes out the first edition of his book “Under the Waters of Los Roques Archipelago National Park. One year later a second edition is printed.
In this second book we find many examples of one of his experimental techniques: a series of images which are a clean composition of two or more photographs taken at the same site and moment. By putting them together he creates unique and beautiful images, whose panoramic scope would be almost impossible to capture with a single shot.
